| From left to right: Unknown, Gunny Richard Lance, Lloyd Lindsey, and possibly Lt. Robert Fisher. Lt. Fisher had been the artillery FO for us for a while. My understanding is that he had finished up his bush time and was at LZ Ross waiting to either go home or to some new duty. There was a mortar attack and he was killed. The store I got when I returned from R&R was that the first round came right throught the tent top and landed right on his cot. This was on September 19, 1969. Also wounded that night was Richard Ford who was in my rocket section. He was hurt pretty badly. |
