| Bob Muth throwing a grenade into the river. We'd do this once in a while to see if we could bring up some fish. Don't remember ever getting much of anything. On the far left is Gary Newsome. Steve Lewis is between Gary and Bob. Gary got a choice assignment in late July/early August. He was sent to be security for combat engineers. He came down to LZ Ross in September to see how we were after getting shot up so badly after he left. Steve Lewis was wounded August 12, 1969. |
