Lester Atherden standing in frong of an
Ontos.

Lester was killed March 4, 1966.

For a long while the Ontos (Greek for
'thing') was the Marine Corps primary
anti-tank weapon.  It's biggest problem was
that it's armor wasn't effective against
anything heavier than small arms.  It was
also way underpowered.
