A couple of generic shots of the Marine Corps'
workhorse, the CH-46.

In  the summer of 2002 the local Air Guard had a show
in Carson City.  They had a couple of CH-46s on
display that you could go in.  One of the men there
told me that both of them had served in Vietnam.  He
went on to explain that the shell had been there.  The
engine, rotors, weapons, etc were all much newer.

Probably in the valley between FSB Ryder and
the Que Son Mountains.

Maybe an airstrike.  Seems a little large for
artillery.

Now that I've looked at the one below maybe
it is artillery.  The big cloud could be from the
Willy Peter round.
