| Gilbert Garza served with Golf in Vietnam and received three Purple Hearts. I got the following (and these pictures)from Ronnie Foster who grew up with him and was also a Marine. I wanted to pass on to you some information on my childhood best friend in McKinney, Texas. Gilbert Garza, Golf company 2/7, 1967-68, listed on your roster. He was awarded three Purple Hearts and medically retired in 1987 after being confined to a wheelchair, he took his own life. He was a great person, great Marine, and even though he died 20 years after he left Vietnam, he was still KIA. Semper Fi Ronnie D. Foster (USMC 1966-69). |
