| I can't remember one time I saw anyone in Vietnam using more modern methods than this. They planted by hand, watered by hand, harvested by hand, and seperated the rice out by hand. You'd see kids and women out in the fields moving HUGE QUANTITES of water by hand from one field to another. A lot of times the rice was kept in big pots buried in the ground. I suppose a water buffalo was a huge portion of a famlies wealth. |
